Biba Girl- Vintage Style Darlings

Who remembers the Biba Girl? I often regreat I was not born in time to shop at the magical Biba store.

The first store, in Abingdon Road in Kensington, was opened in September 1964 but sadly it closed in around 1979 after a bucnh of ups an downs, succsesses and failaures including a bombing by a radical group in 1971.

Loved by the likes of Bianca Jager, Twiggy, Mick Jagger, David Bowie and MaryAnne Faithfull, Biba was a unique mix of Art Nouveau decor and Rock and Roll decadence. I still covet it’s style and try to recapture here at BellJar. Come on be a Biba girl, or at the very least a BellJar Girl™.

BellJar’s Web Launch Party Pics

Thanks to everyone that came down for the BellJar website relaunch!! It was a huge success and as the pictures will show, everyone was having a lot of fun. It always surprises me the amount of boys that show up to the BellJar parties, but I guess you give out free drinks and invite pretty girls, and the boys will come!!
